Justin Muchnick joins Grand Tour Project

Justin is a sophomore double majoring in classics and American studies and minoring in art history. After securing a Cesta Research Assistnt position for Winter and Spring quarters 2018, he was drawn to the Grand Tour Project because of his interest in classical reception (he has in the past worked on a database project concerned with the translation and transmission of classical texts). For the Grand Tour Project, Justin will focus on creating new database entries for ‘hidden travelers,’ the ones that have emerged from the close study of mentioned names data results, and then explore the possibilities held by linked data for our database of travelers
